A million children have enjoyed our weekly Adventure Bus outing. Our programmes also support playgroups, preschool centres and the adults who work with young children.
What lasting impact looks like
Stronger Adults Create Stronger Starts
Grassroots maintains over 400 Playgroups throughout the Western Cape. We train playgroup hosts to serve as effective teachers, help prepare spaces for children to play and raise funds for a balanced meal every day.
Local playgroup mentors visit regularly to support a good ECD programme. We also work with over 2,000 preschool centres, helping them meet registration requirements and become eligible for state subsidisation.
